How to Manage Your Subscription, Tokens & Billing

View your plan and token balance, learn how monthly tokens work, buy extra tokens, switch plans, and update billing on AnyTale.

How to Manage Your Subscription, Tokens & Billing

Keeping track of your AnyTale plan, tokens, and payment details takes just a few minutes, and this guide walks you through every step.

1. Open your billing dashboard

Click your profile picture in the top-right corner and select Subscription & Billing. This is your home base for everything related to your plan.

Here you can see your current plan name, your renewal date, and your live token balance at a glance.

2. Check your token balance

Your token balance shows how much creative power you have left this cycle. Tokens are spent when you generate stories, illustrations, and translations.

The balance bar updates in real time, so you always know where you stand before starting a new book.

3. Understand how monthly tokens work

Every plan includes a fresh batch of tokens that refills on your renewal date:

  • StoryTeller – 100 tokens per month
  • Creator – 200 tokens per month
  • Master – 300 tokens per month

Unused tokens do not roll over, so it is best to create steadily throughout the month rather than saving everything for the last day.

4. Buy extra tokens or word packs

If you run low before your refill, you do not have to wait. On the billing dashboard, click Buy more and choose an extra token bundle or a word pack for longer stories.

Extra tokens are added to your balance instantly and stay available until you use them.

5. Upgrade or downgrade your plan

To change plans, click Change plan and pick the tier that fits you. Upgrades take effect right away, and your new token allowance is available immediately.

Downgrades take effect at your next renewal date, so you keep full access until the current cycle ends.

6. Switch to yearly billing and save 33%

If you create often, switching from monthly to yearly billing saves you 33%. Open Change plan, select Yearly, and confirm.

You still receive your monthly token refill, but you pay less overall across the year.

7. Update your payment method

To add or replace a card, scroll to Payment method and click Edit. Enter your new card details and save.

Your next charge will automatically use the updated card, and you can view past invoices in the same section.

Manage your plan whenever you like, and keep creating without interruption.
