How to Translate Your Book into Another Language

Translate your finished AnyTale book into any supported language in minutes: open the feature, choose a language, review the word-count price, and confirm.

How to Translate Your Book into Another Language

AnyTale can translate your finished book into any of our supported languages in just a few clicks, so you can share the same story with readers around the world.

1. Open the translation feature

From your dashboard, open the book you want to translate. In the editor, look for the Translate button in the top toolbar (or inside the More options menu) and click it to open the translation panel.

Make sure your story is finished before you translate. Edits you make to the original text after translating will not carry over automatically, so it is best to translate once your book is final.

2. Choose your target language

In the translation panel, pick the language you want from the list of supported languages. You can search by typing the language name if the list is long.

If you plan to publish in several languages, choose one at a time. You can repeat these steps later to create as many translated versions as you like.

3. Review the word-count price

AnyTale prices translations by word count, paid from your word credits or subscription balance. The panel shows:

  • The total number of words in your book
  • The number of word credits the translation will use
  • Your remaining balance after the translation

Take a moment to check these numbers. If you do not have enough credits, you can top up or upgrade your plan directly from the panel before continuing.

4. Confirm and start the translation

When the language and price look right, click Confirm (or Translate now). AnyTale will deduct the credits and begin translating your text.

Translation usually takes under a minute, though longer books may need a little more time. You can keep working in another tab while it runs.

5. Review your translated book

Once the translation is ready, open the new language version and read through the pages to check that:

  • Names and personalized details look correct
  • The tone matches the original story
  • Text still fits neatly within each page layout

You can edit any sentence directly to fine-tune the wording. Illustrations, layout, and your cover stay exactly the same, so only the words change.

When you are happy with the result, publish or download the translated edition just like the original.

That's it, your story is ready to delight readers in a brand-new language.
